Shinmyung Glovix Corporation (SMG) was established in 1972 as a lighter manufacturer. What started out as a small manufacturer became a company that exported its products to 30 countries worldwide. In 1992, SMG earned the exclusive distributorship and introduced Zippo brand to Korea and started its beginning phase of changing into a company that specializes in distribution. Business was expanded in 1996 when Korea became the 5th largest market for Zippo in the world. Based upon this success, SMG became the exclusive distributor for Hakkin Hand Warmers and also, added world famous multi-tool and flashlight brands, Leatherman and Led Lenser. In the world of ever changing lifestyle & Industry market in Korea, since starting the brand Klean Kanteen in October 2018, SMG is constantly pursuing changes to become a leader in the field.
